FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

1-How can I take a single course exam? What are the requirements?

Answer:  To take a single course exam, you must have failed no more than one course. Furthermore, the previous grade for this failed course must not be DZ. To take a single course exam, students must fill out a petition and submit it to the student affairs office. If you have failed the course you wish to take as a single course exam due to absenteeism (DZ) or if you have not previously registered for the course in question, you cannot take the single course exam. 

2- How can I take a make-up exam? What are the requirements?

Answer: Make-up exams are only held for midterm exams. To take a make-up exam, you must have a valid excuse and provide documentation to support it. The petition must be filled out and submitted to the student affairs office along with the documentation.

3- After graduation, can a family member or friend collect my temporary graduation certificate or diploma?

Answer: For someone other than the person themselves to collect the temporary graduation certificate or diploma, a notarized power of attorney must be submitted.

4- What do I need to do for a course exemption?

Answer: If you have transferred from another university or previously studied in any associate or bachelor's degree program at a different university, you must bring your transcript, fill out an exemption request form, and submit it to the Student Affairs Office. (Processing time: 15 days)

5-How can I obtain my temporary graduation certificate?

Answer: You can graduate if you have no failed courses. To obtain a temporary graduation certificate, you must sign and submit the withdrawal form, then submit your student ID to the Student Affairs Office to receive the temporary graduation certificate. If you have lost your student ID, you must place an ad in a local newspaper and bring a copy of the ad to the Student Affairs Office.

6-How can I obtain my diploma?

Answer: To receive your diploma, you must first meet the graduation requirements. Students who meet the graduation requirements and have not previously received a temporary graduation certificate can come to the student affairs office, sign the withdrawal form, and submit their student ID to receive their diploma. If you have lost your student ID, you must place an ad in the local newspaper and bring a copy of the ad to the student affairs office. Students who have previously received a temporary graduation certificate must bring their temporary graduation certificates to the Student Affairs Office when they come to receive their diplomas. Students who have lost their temporary graduation certificate must place an advertisement in the local newspaper and submit a copy to the Student Affairs Office. 

7- How are summer internships carried out in the program?

Answer: Accounting and Tax Applications associate degree program students complete their internships during the summer months after the end of the first semester, covering at least 30 working days. To start an internship, students must come to the Student Affairs Office, obtain the mandatory internship application form, have it filled out and stamped/signed by the company where they will be interning, and submit it to their advisor along with a photocopy of their ID card. The internship must be completed within 30 working days from the start date.

8-I lost my student ID. How can I get a new one?

Answer: You can get a new one by filling out a petition at the Student Affairs Office.

9-I changed my phone number, and my exam grades are not coming via SMS. How can I update my number?

Answer: Students can update their phone numbers in the general information - contact information section of the student information system to benefit from SMS services.

10-Can I update my profile picture through the automation system?

Answer: Students can update their photos in the profile settings section of the student information system. However, if the Student Affairs Office finds the uploaded photo inappropriate, they may reject it. Approved photos will be accepted, and your profile picture will change.

11-Where can we get the cap and gown for the graduation ceremony?

Answer: Students attending the graduation ceremony can obtain their gown and cap one week before the ceremony by submitting their student IDs to the Student Affairs Office. Students who do not return their gown and cap after the graduation ceremony will not be able to retrieve their student IDs and will not be able to receive their temporary graduation certificates and diplomas, even if they have graduated.

12-How can I freeze my registration?

Answer: A petition must be filled out and submitted to the Student Affairs Office to freeze your registration. The petition will be reviewed, and if the reason for freezing the registration is deemed appropriate, it will be accepted and notified to the student.

13-How can I have my registration deleted?

Answer: A petition must be filled out and submitted to the Student Affairs Office to have your registration deleted, and your registration will be deleted.

14-I received a lower grade than I expected on an exam. What should I do?

Answer: To appeal an exam grade, a petition must be filled out and submitted to the Student Affairs Office. If the instructor deems it appropriate, the exam paper will be reviewed and the reason will be communicated to the student. If there is an error, it will be corrected.
